Boris de Souza was born in Bangalore and grew up in Muscat, Oman where he studied at the Indian School Al Ghubra. He went on to pursue his passion for technology, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics, from the Christian Brothers University (CBU), Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated with honors and an Honors's Program Diploma, and was conferred the Thomas Lipsmeyer 'Ideal Student' award from the graduating class of 2009. Boris was also named the CBU's Featured Engineer of the Year in 2009 by the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) and the Memphis Joint Engineering Council (MJEC) for his achievements in academics, leadership abilities and community service. Boris is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and is currently serving as the chair of the Silicon Valley IEEE-Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Chapter. He is also affiliated to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society and the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). Boris plans to pursue a post-graduate degree in the field of Human Computer Interactions soon.
