Good Bye 2009 and Hello 2010!
This year I decided to start the new year with something new...a personal blog! Yes indeed, I finally jumped on the blog owners band wagon. And it's about time too!
MOTIVE
So, why a blog and why now, you say? Well, I've long been interested in usability, design and technology, be it on the web or in the real world. And so, like any keen observer, I often find myself analyzing websites and objects around me. Sometimes, I come across some really innovative stuff or a great design which make me want to shout it out from the roof top. While on other occasions, I try to imagine how something could have been better designed for the 'common man' (ie. Usability and Design for the Common Man). So, with that in mind I decide to launch a blog where I can share my thoughts on matters of these issues that interest me and other like minded people.
To clarify semantics...the phrase 'common man' used in this blog does not imply only 'man', but is used as a broader reference to people at large. It's just that 'common man' sounded better.
MISSION
Got a mission? The idea behind this blog is to share ideas, thoughts and info on usability and technology in general. However, an important aspect of this blog is to obtain feedback from you the readers. I believe everyone is entitled to an opinion (...even if I disagree with them). But do I encourage people to write back with your thoughts. Who knows I may learn a thing or two....
Note: Any views, opinions, findings and observations expressed in this blog are the views of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of the organizations he is affiliated with.
Anyways...I'll leave you with a demotivational poster that is quite apt for this situation. -B
